Affluence.org – Private Social Networking & Collaboration
A private social network enables individuals to connect and share information with each other. Resulting in the members having access to high-quality content and subject matter experts in various fields. The www.affluence.org site is powered with SocialEngine a PHP-based white label social network platform. Envisioned the solution with minimum customization of the baseline product, validate and implement plug-ins and create new functionality not available in the base SocialEngine product. Per site owner requirement and user, feedback advance the baseline social networking features such as blogs, photo albums, user groups, and forums, providing complete control over the layout and functionality of the social network, community, or portal. The network has over 46,000 members who communicate every day generating 27,000+ comments and 50,000+ messages on a monthly basis.
With the famous and common social features, this implementation includes Geo Tagging, live “instant messaging” between users, the Open Social, and live feeds to enhance the member experience. There are more than 52 most used plug-ins from which six were developed by our team.
Also, our DBA and Unix administrators are helping solve issues with the database and web server. The technical team which spans across the globe uses one dedicated Linux development server that hosts 15 developer sites with individual databases which help each developer to branch out on a special mission. The production environment includes two separate Linux dedicated servers for the website and MySQL database.
University Visitors Network – University Visitors Guide Lifestyle Search using Google Custom Search Engine to establish a federated search experience.
UVN
University visitors network was developed to be an excellent resource of valuable college and university information to help prospective students (and parents) narrow their college selections and facilitate college visits to the universities of their choice. The portal includes 1600 4-Year College and University information makes it easy for college research and selection.
The portal www.universityvisitorsnetwork.com includes a social networking feature that helps college-bound students to set up, select, share and compare the college lists. Social networking makes it easy for students to make or accept comments from friends on selected colleges and interface with popular sites like Facebook & MySpace.
Water Information Link – The water industry search engine
WaterInfoLink powered by Water & Wastes Digest and Storm Water Solutions is designed exclusively for professionals in the water and wastewater industries. The Vertical search solution by Convera was implemented to manage the most relevant and authoritative sites for water and wastewater industry professionals, giving them access to the credible content that they need. We worked on this project partnering with Psycray.
Rural Water Search – The online source for rural water information
Rural Water Search powered by NRWA and NaylorNet, is designed exclusively for professionals in the rural water industry. The site’s search engine targets all the Internet content that matters to industry members, bringing clarity and efficiency to business research. The Vertical search solution by Convera was implemented to manage and prioritize the sites that are most meaningful to rural water professionals, including published articles, journals, white papers, supplier sites, regional and national association news, product and service guides, regulator news, and more. We worked on this project partnering with Psycray.
Prescribing Information – The health care professional’s source for prescribing information
PrescribingInfo.com is a site for healthcare professionals that provides links to the prescribing information published by U.S drug manufacturers. The site is designed to provide quick access to the official prescribing information. PowerSeek the web directory software from FocalMedia was implemented to enable search and directory maintenance. We worked on this project partnering with Psycray.
Addiction Atlas – Helps to find meetings in a given area
The website is based on an idea to help to recover from addiction by listing the group meetings in different locations within the USA and Canada. The goal was to make the site dynamic which can accept upcoming meeting details and on approval publish the meeting online. The new site was developed using Web Services and AJAX technologies with Microsoft SQL Server as the database. The complete site can be configured thru the backend administration control panel. Also, the control panel allows to create of new locations (such as country, state, city) and to manage meeting details.
ITJobsPost – A Jobs board to publish the IT jobs in the United Kingdom
The website is dedicated solely to IT job vacancies and IT recruitment solutions for UK companies and employment agencies. Our team has helped to enhance the website for job search and connecting the site with employer applications to accept mass job requirement uploads and also helped in fixing few bugs left behind by the previous website development entity.
UiKnow – Find, Organize, Create and Share
UiKnow was a research project of the University of Illinois. This application helps to find information on the internet and share thoughts and opinions with the world. The system allows searching the web, save the search, categorizing the search, and sharing the saved search with the world. The project had a client piece that was developed using Microsoft dot NET technology and the server end was developed using JAVA STRUTS technology. The client and server were interfaced using secure Web Services over HTTP protocol. The client had artificial intelligence to link the search results and it could upload the search file to the server under a given category. Once the search is uploaded and approved the internet users can use the saved search and also can rate and send remarks on the search. There was an admin control panel to manage registered users, manage categories, and facilitate the approval process for the search and remarks. We worked on this project partnering with Psycray.
Meat News – The business journal for meat and poultry processors
News and events of interest to the meat processing industry, including archives of the print version Meat Processing Magazine. The static HTML based website was in need of a conversion to the dynamic website using ColdFusion and MySQL. We worked on this project partnering with Psycray.
